Control systems designed, built and commissioned in-house

From a single PLC retrofit to a plant-wide control system — we engineer the design, build the panels, write the code and stay on site through commissioning. On new plant, and on equipment that has been running for decades.

Platforms we work across: Siemens · Allen-Bradley · Delta · Schneider · Phoenix Contact · CG

Siemens PLC rack with I/O and safety modules

End to end solution, under one roof

Drawings, panel build, code and commissioning all come from the same team — so there is no gap between who designed it, who wired it and who answers the phone when it stops. One contract, one point of responsibility.

  1. 01

    Design & Engineering

Control philosophy, I/O schedules, single-line and panel drawings agreed before anything is cut.

  2. 02

    Panel Manufacture

Built, wired and routine-tested in-house, so the build and the logic come from the same team.

  3. 03

    Factory Acceptance Test

Logic proven against simulated I/O with you present, before a panel leaves the works.

  4. 04

    Installation & Commissioning

Loop checks, live tuning and operator handover on site, carried out by our own engineers.

  5. 05

    Support & AMC

Breakdown response, spares holding and planned maintenance under contract once you are running.

Retrofit & Migration

Ageing control systems, brought forward without losing a shift

An obsolete PLC or an unsupported drive should not become an unplanned shutdown. We reverse-engineer what is on the floor, map every loop to the new architecture, and stage the changeover around your production window.

  • Reverse-engineering of undocumented logic
  • Loop-by-loop verification against the old system
  • Changeover planned around your shutdown window
  • Operators trained before the old panel goes

SENTIENT — our IIoT platform

One platform, from a single gateway to a plant-wide cluster

SENTIENT is our own industrial IoT and SCADA platform — device management, dashboards, alarms and a rule engine, together with the local process control, PLC connectivity, reporting and recipe handling that day-to-day plant work depends on.

SENTIENT dashboards running on a control room desk overlooking a process plant

Written in Rust

Small enough for a gateway, built to cluster

The backend is a Rust application, so it runs in a fraction of the memory a JVM platform needs. That is what lets the same build sit on a low-power box beside the panel and also scale out across a cluster — no separate cut-down edge edition, no second system to learn.

Edge

Gateway on the wall

Low-power hardware next to the panel, holding its own data and screens when the network drops.

Site

One server on-premise

A plant-wide historian and SCADA on your own hardware, inside your own network.

Scale

High-availability cluster

Multiple sites into one system, cloud or on-premise, with redundancy where downtime costs real money.

Every deployment includes

Dashboards & visualisation
Alarms & events
Rule engine & automation
Trends & historian
Multi-tenant access control

Mechanical Systems

The iron is fine. It is the controls that aged

A mechanically sound machine does not need replacing because its control is obsolete. We fit new controllers, drives, motors and operator panels to machine tools and cranes you already own, build special purpose machines where nothing off the shelf fits, and take on crane electrics from hoist motion to radio remote control.

Cranes and material handling

The same argument applies to a crane. The structure outlives its controls by decades, so we renew the electrics and leave the steel in service.

EOT cranes

Electric overhead travelling cranes — long travel, cross travel and hoist motions re-controlled, with VFDs replacing contactor-and-resistor stepping.

Double girder cranes

Heavier duty and longer spans, including anti-sway, load monitoring and synchronised motion where two hoists work together.

Single girder & monorail

Underslung and monorail hoists for bay and workshop handling, with festoon or conductor-bar power supply.

Hoists and winches

Wire rope and chain hoists, brake and limit switch replacement, and overload protection proven to trip at its setting.

Radio remote control

Pendant replaced with radio remote so the operator can stand where they can see the load, with interlocked handover between stations.

Crane safety systems

Limit switches, anti-collision, load cells and zone protection — wired into the drives rather than bolted on as an afterthought.

What we replace

  • CNC controller
  • Servo drives and motors
  • Encoders and position feedback
  • Spindle drive (VFD)
  • Operator panel and HMI
  • Electrical panel and wiring loom
  • Limit switches and machine I/O

What stays exactly as it is

  • Bed, column and castings
  • Spindle and bearings
  • Ball screws and guideways
  • Tool changer and turret
  • Hydraulics and coolant system
  • The machine’s original geometry

Spares that no longer exist

When a control is obsolete, one failed board can idle the machine for weeks. A current platform keeps spares on a shelf and available next day.

Accuracy you already paid for

Castings, ball screws and guideways have decades of life left. Scrapping a mechanically sound machine throws away the part that took years to settle.

A control your programmers can use

Modern programming, networking and on-screen diagnostics, so the machine joins the rest of the shop on the same network.

Special Purpose Machines

When nothing off the shelf does the job

Some operations have no standard machine. We design and build one around the job — mechanics, drives, control and safety as a single package, sized to your cycle time and your floor space.

  • Built around one operation and its cycle time
  • Mechanical, electrical and control from one team
  • PLC, HMI and safety designed in from the start
  • Documented and supported like any other machine

How a retrofit runs

A machine out of production is costing money, so the survey and the panel build happen before anything is stripped.

  1. 01

    Survey & feasibility

Geometry, backlash, spindle and screw condition checked first — if the iron is not worth retrofitting we will say so.

  2. 02

    Control design

Controller, drives and motors sized to the machine, with schematics and an I/O list before anything is ordered.

  3. 03

    Panel build

The control panel is manufactured and wired in our own works, then tested before it reaches your floor.

  4. 04

    Installation

Old controls stripped out, new gear fitted, axes aligned, tuned and backlash compensated.

  5. 05

    Commissioning & training

Accuracy verified against test cuts, then your operators and maintenance team trained on the new control.

About Invenia Systems

The engineers who design it are the ones who commission it

Invenia Systems was founded by three engineers with fifteen years each behind them at firms like McNally Bharat, SATCON and Nextgen Automation — every one of them carrying both design-office and commissioning experience. That combination is what the company was built on.

What we run ourselves

Design, build and commissioning are under one roof, which is why there is no gap between the drawing, the panel and the person on site.

Design office

Schematics, layouts, protection co-ordination and ETAP modelling — the full set of drawings and calculations behind the single line.

Panel manufacturing unit

Our own works building LT switchgear, distribution boards, control & relay panels, PLC panels and starter panels.

Site team

Erection, testing and commissioning carried out by our own engineers — including remote hydro sites in Ladakh and Arunachal.

Training & internship

We take on fresh graduates for summer and winter industrial training, so they get hands-on experience of testing, commissioning and maintenance rather than only the theory.
